The Graduation ceremony of 6th batch of Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post-graduates (OCES-2015) of BARC Training School AMD Campus (BARCTS), Hyderabad was held on 01-08-2016. This year 16 Trainee Scientific Officers (11 in Geology and 5 in Geophysics) have graduated. Prof. P. Rama Rao, Member, Atomic Energy Commission and Former Secretary, Department of Science & Technology was the chief guest at the function and awarded the graduation certificates to all graduating officers and Homi Bhabha medals to the toppers in both the disciplines. Dr. A.K. Rai, Director, AMD, presented degree certificates of Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Exploration Geosciences to officers of OCES-2012 batch (9 Geology and 3 Geophysics).

In his welcome address Shri L.K. Nanda, Additional Director (Operations-I) welcomed all the dignitaries and gave a brief account of the role of BARCTS, AMD. Dr. Rahul Banerjee, Head, BARCTS, AMD-Campus, presented annual report of training school.

Prof. Rama Rao, in his address emphasized the importance of discovering more deposits of uranium and other atomic minerals in the country and hoped that young, trained officers will contribute significantly in achieving this goal. Dr. A.K. Rai, Director, AMD in his address emphasised the need for young trained officers who can take up challenges of field work for augmentation of atomic minerals. The speakers also welcomed new TSOs of OCES-2016 batch (12 Geology + 3 Geophysics).
