As in previous years, AMD celebrated the Republic Day on 26.01.2021 in solemn function organized in accordance with the prevailing protocols. Keeping in view the instructions / Guidelines received from Ministry of Home Affairs vide order dated 25/11/2020 issued by Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, physical attendance of the employees of this Directorate was restricted accordingly.

Dr. D.K. Sinha, Director, AMD unfurled the National Flag, followed by salutation of the flag and recitation of National Anthem. Subsequently, Director, AMD inspected the “Guard of Honour” led by Dy. Chief Security Officer, AMD along with the Security wing of AMD as well as Special Protection Force (Armed Guards).

Subsequently, Director, AMD addressed the officials of this Directorate. Before starting the address, Director read out “PREAMBLE” of the Indian Constitution and emphasized its importance. True to the spirit of the occasion, the Republic Day address by the Director started with the reading of the Constitution of India in Hindi and English. Director, AMD, in his speech enumerated the achievements of the Directorate during the year 2020, inter-alia containing the following:

a) The status of satisfactory achievement of targets made in the core activities of this Directorate; in spite of the pandemic situation.

b) The administrative measures taken to fill the vacant job positions, enhance the implementation of CHSS etc;

c) Measures taken to contain COVID-19 by AMD as per the instructions received from State Government as well as DAE from time to time;

After the address, Director, AMD greeted all the officials present individually. The officials attended the function include, among others, Shri Sandeep Hamilton, Additional Director (Op-I); Shri B. Saravanan, Additional Director (Op-II); Dr. T.S. Sunil Kumar, Additional Director (R&D); Shri N. Anjani Kumar, CA&AO and Ms. R. Uma Maheshwari, DCA.
