Graduation Ceremony of year long Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Post-Graduates of 2020 batch of BARC Training School-AMD, Hyderabad for 16 officers was held on 01-11-2021 at AMD, Hyderabad. Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Director, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) was the chief guest of the function.

Dr. T. S. Sunil Kumar, Additional Director, AMD gave the welcome address. Dr. A. Rama Raju, Incharge, Training School presented the annual report of the BARC Training School, AMD campus. Dr. Deepak Kumar Sinha, Director, AMD congratulated all the graduating officers and emphasized the role of training in developing the art and science of exploration for achieving success in professional career. He also congratulated 17 young officers who were conferred with M. Tech degree by Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) after successful completion of project work in the frontier areas of exploration for uranium and other atomic minerals.

Thereafter, Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering. Citing example of Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, Dr Mohanty exhorted the newly joined officers to never give up learning and discovering, as these activities will keep them engaged and enthusiastic throughout their career, making them a valuable asset to AMD. He wished all the graduating officers success in their career and gave away the certificates. Homi Bhabha prize was conferred on Shri Sayan Mondal, the topper in Geology discipline. M. Tech degree certificates were also awarded to 17 officers of OCES-2018 batch by the Chief Guest.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. A.K. Tyagi, Group Director, Chemistry Group, BARC; Dr. T. Sreenivas, Head, Mineral Processing Division, BARC; Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Head, National Centre for Compositional Characterisation of Materials (NCCCM); Shri R. N. Jayaraj, former Chief Executive, Nuclear Fuel Complex; Shri P. Sudhakar, Former CMD, ECIL; Dr. N. Saibaba, former Chief Executive, Nuclear Fuel Complex; Dr. G. Amarendra, Raja Ramanna Fellow; Additional Directors of AMD Shri B. Saravanan, Dr. T. S. Sunil Kumar and Shri R. Mamallan; Regional Directors and senior officials of AMD, faculty members and parents of graduating officers. Besides several others joined the proceedings through online platform.

The programme concluded with the rendering of national anthem.
